Suite of twelve 800 thousand silver knives titled 84 zolotnik with plain decoration, the handles engraved with the numeral PL or LP in Cyrillic characters under a ducal crown, the steel blades marked with the Varenaiev firm under a double-headed eagle. Goldsmith's hallmark S.F. in Latin characters (not listed), Saint Petersburg, before 1899. Length: 26.5 cm. Gross weight: 1606 g. (Scratches on the handles).
