André Le Brun (1737-1811) Two sculpture projects (Ceres) Pen and India ink. Inscribed on the back in black stone: Le Brun. 28 x 8.5 cm 27.5 x 9 cm These two drawings are early thoughts for the sculpture of Cérès ou L'Eté, completed in 1784 and still in place on the balustrade of the attic of the Lazienki Palace in Warsaw (inv. LKr 443Another preparatory drawing for this sculpture, also in pen and ink, is preserved in the Moravian Museum in Brno, according to Camille Brunaux, who confirms the authenticity of the two sheets (e-mail of October 17, 2022).
