Sanguine (1758). Annotated around the edge ET QUI NASCENT AB ILLIS. In the lower part DRAMATIS PREMIUM / INSTIT AN M.DCC. LVIII Diam: 21.5 cm On the reverse of the support leaf, an old annotation in pen: January 17, 1758 delivered to M. Roettier le père this subject of a medal 24 lines in diameter. The name Roëttier le père probably refers to Joseph Charles Roëttier (Paris 1692- 1779), a medallist and relative of Joseph Charles Roëttier De La Bretèche (Paris 1722-1803), Master Medallist at the Paris Mint (1748-1759).
