Atelier Louis Mées Very original and distinguished corsage brooch (convertible into a pendant) in 18K yellow gold 750 thousandths and platinum 850 thousandths, centered on a cabochon star sapphire with a round base set in approximately 30 carats, flanked by two flowers whose four petals are embellished with scallop-set anversoise rose-cut diamonds, centered by a sapphire cabochon pistil, surrounded by leaves and stars, all set with old-cut, rose anversoise and rose-cut diamonds in seed and scalloped settings, all holding a pear-cut rose anversoise diamond (approx. 10.62 x 7.62 mm) in closed setting on a paillon, crowned by a rose-cut diamond in closed setting. The back of the star sapphire features a separable round plate numbered "May 15, 1877 - May 15, 1902" Number of diamonds : 75 diamonds for approx. 2 carats (one stone missing) Detachable screw-set pin and snail French master's hallmark (vertical) L -croissant delune - M for Louis Mées, active in Paris at 177 rue du Temple, then 15 rue des filles du calvaires and finally 318 rue Saint-Martin, registered from January 24, 1893, noted in the Azur of the years 1895 and 1922.
