PARIS Important round pewter dish, with wide molding, called "à venaison". Very fine, large coat of arms engraved in the center: "argent au chevron d'azur, accompagné de trois sauterelles de sinople", tenants: two lions, crest: empanaché heaume, from Nicolas Chauvereau, secrétaire du Roi. Hallmarking on reverse wing: hammer surmounted by a tiara / P B / P (EdP 315), Pierre BESNARD, Master in 1683. Late 17th century, certainly before 1691. Diameter: 57cm Impressive size.
