Two oval miniatures on ivory* depicting two young men. One signed C. FREUND in the middle left corner. Late 18th century. H. 7.4 cm and 7.2 cm Probably by Johann Christian Freund(1788-1822). *Ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required.
