CARRIER Joseph-Auguste (1800-1875) Portrait of a young woman with a bun. Oval miniature on ringed ivory*, signed and dated 1834 lower left. H. 6 cm. L. 5.3 cm *Ivory specimen of pre-Convention Elephantidae spp (I/A), prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required.
