Oblong folio album in dark green morocco, spine decorated with gilt, gilt edges, workshop binding by Alexander Danilovich Petersen in Saint Petersburg, active from 1860 to 1914 - label with imperial privilege mark. Traces of rubbing, tear to spine. Album featuring Oldenburg family and young students at the Law School, circa 1900. Album featuring 58 period prints, 56 of them silver and 2 citrate, one with Rentz & Schrader dry stamp under the image. Portrait of Princes Alexander of Oldenburg, with autograph signature at the bottom of the document, and Peter Georgievich, of Peter Alexandrovich of Oldenburg, group portraits, reception, dinner in front of a portrait of Nicholas II, costume ball with men dressed as women. Images 7.8 x 8.2 cm to 22.5 x 28.7 cm. Album: 30 x 41.5 cm The Imperial Law School was founded by Duke Peter of Oldenburg in 1835. Reserved for men, the school offered a 6- or 7-year curriculum and welcomed famous students such as Alexei Apoukhtine, Vladimir Nabokov, Piotr and Modeste Tchaïkovski and Alexandre Alekhine.
