Eucologe Printed by Vassili Stavnitski, typography of the Brotherhood of the Dormition of the Virgin in Lvov, 1719. [13], 246 leaves illustrated with woodcuts, large in-4°. Edition of 1197 copies. Texts in ornate frames, printed in two colors; the illustrations depict scenes from the Gospels, and are the work of renowned Ukrainian artists of the Baroque period: Nicodemus Zoubritski (whose signature can be seen on the title page), Ilia, the hierodeacon Georges. Much of the text's ornamentation is taken from Ivan Fyodorov's matrices. In a later full leather binding, gold-stamped on both boards (ornate cross and chalice), 20th-century endpapers, with annotations of the same period, on the 4th leaf, annotation dating from the 18th century.
