ANNENKOV Yuri Georges (1889-1974) Elegy Three plates on tracing paper, 20 to 29 cm.
In the 1930s, ANNENKOV, who was always interested in animation, conceived an astonishing animated film entitled "Elegy", in which he was the hero. In one sequence, a muse swirled around his face and annoyed him. His face would distort = the whole thing would end in a burst of laughter.
