Paul HELLEU (1859 1927) Woman nursing her child. Drypoint on laid paper. Proof signed lower left, dedicated. Edges slightly yellowed, tiny stains, a few traces of folds, tip holes in the upper corners. 41 x 31.2cm. Jean Helleu (1894-1985) was a painter and watercolorist employed in the creative studios at Parfums Coty in Suresnes, then at Parfums Chanel and Bourjois in Pantin, in charge of creating creation and design of perfume bottles and boxes. His son Jacques Helleu (1938-2007) followed in his footsteps, becoming Artistic Director of Chanel couture & parfums
