Large carved and openwork mother-of-pearl shell with a rich decoration of birds and foliage surmounted by three medallions, the two sides of which feature a putto and are engraved with the words "Atelier de sculpture Jérusalem" and "Fondation Alphonse de Rothschild". The central medallion bears the Rothschild family coat of arms and the motto "Concordia/ Industria/Integritas". Late 19th, early 20th century. 20 x 20 cm.
