Mambila mask (Nigeria) Africa. Rare "Suaga Bor" Mambila crest mask (Nigeria). Its wide open mouth is topped by prominent eyes. Zoomorphic, this mask is called "dog-pie". It embodies the mouth of the dog wide open, ready to serve its prey. The Mambila masks are located in the northwest of Cameroon and also live on the border of Cameroon. The Mumuyé are a West African population, mainly present in the north-east of Nigeria, south of the Benue River, close to the border with Cameroon where a few thousand of them also live.
