Axe with partially turned wooden handle, applied with two inserts of minimum 800°/°° silver with floral ornamentation on a textured background, the end applied with a silver bouterolle with engraved decoration, the axe head engraved on one side with the crowned double-headed eagle of the Russian Empire and on the other with Cyrillic text reading: "By the grace of God, this coin took part in the building of St. Petersburg, on the 16th day of May in the year 1703". Manufactured in the 19th century. Length: 57 cm. L.: 13 cm. History: According to oral tradition, this coin was used by Tsar Peter the Great to help build the city of St. Petersburg, but it is more likely a souvenir made in the 19th century.
