MONTIER-en-DER Ecuelle à bouillon with plain mamelonned lid, turned knob grip, openwork lugs. Hallmarking: 1) double crowned F / MONTIERANDER 173(-), 2) rose / ESTIN.FIN, 3) crowned hammer / P T, Pierre TISSET, master cited as early as 1722 (his hallmark also found in TROYES). Mid 18th century. Length:29.5cm Superb and rare repeated hallmarking under each ear, the rose on the lid. Very fine condition, the only known example.
